At the same time, data gaps complicated the process even further: their CRM system, SAP Sales Cloud, and marketing automation tool, Evalanche, were not in sync. Many marketing efforts amounted to nothing, and leads were lost and never picked up again.

With BusinessCards, SCHUNK ensures a consistent and professional appearance thanks to a centrally managed, fully digital business cards. On the go, the app also functions as a business card scanner, ensuring that any new contact information goes straight into SAP Sales Cloud.

VisitReport is SCHUNK’s weapon of choice for everything related to trade shows and events. New leads and notes taken during conversations are digitally saved within seconds, completely eliminating the need for manual follow-up — a standard and process that has become an invaluable, fully established asset for the company.

 
 

DataQuality

With DataQuality, SCHUNK has significantly increased the quality of its contact data, including new leads in SAP Sales Cloud. All relevant contact information is pulled directly from email signatures in shared mailboxes and automatically transferred to the CRM system — fully automated and error-free. Additionally, DataQuality functions as middleware between SAP Sales Cloud and Evalanche to prevent any potential data silos.

DataQuality As a Middleware Solution.

Where there once were data silos and missing synchronization, snapAddy now operates as a middleware solution for SCHUNK, connecting Evalanche (the marketing automation tool) and SAP Sales Cloud (the CRM system).

 

At the same time, DataQuality ensures fully automated data synchronization, eliminating the need for a direct connection between the two systems.

 

The result: a consistent database and a seamless flow of information between sales and marketing — with snapAddy as the glue that holds it all together.

2021: First introduction.

During one of SCHUNK’s customer events, snapAddy gave a live demonstration of its product, VisitReport, in front of 120 sales reps...and SCHUNK was impressed right away.

2022: National roll-out of VisitReport

VisitReport springs into action at the automatica trade show in Germany for the first time. Right from the start, acceptance of the tool is high.

2023: International roll-out of VisitReport

SCHUNK uses VisitReport at leading international trade shows in Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy.

2024: Use Cases and feasibility check for DataQuality

After successfully having implemented VisitReport, SCHUNK now considers potential use cases and the company-wide feasibility of DataQuality.

2025: VisitReport, DataQuality and BusinessCards all in use.

Within three years, SCHUNK has successfully introduced and implemented all three snapAddy products. Gone are the days of manual follow-up after a trade show, while data quality and synchronization steadily improve.

Future: Realizing full potential.

In the near future, SCHUNK plans to use VisitReport for external sales and customer visits, where Voice AI will also play an important role. Use cases and all possibilities will be exhausted, and new ideas are being fleshed out in collaboration with snapAddy.

A downward trend that is positive: Since SCHUNK implemented VisitReport, the resources required during trade shows have drastically decreased. Instead of 17 people working 4 hours a day each, SCHUNK now only needs 2 people working 1 hour a day each—68 hours reduced to just 2. Tedious and error-prone follow-up, as well as manual data entry, are now a thing of the past, all thanks to digital lead capture directly at the trade show.
