In the past, SCHUNK required a large team to handle trade shows. Contacts and notes were recorded manually, and follow-ups were often delayed by days. The process was further complicated by data silos: the SAP Sales Cloud CRM system and the Evalanche marketing automation system were not synchronized, resulting in unproductive marketing activities and lost leads.

Since 2025, SCHUNK has been relying on all three snapAddy products, thereby ensuring consistent data quality: from collection and enrichment to sharing.

BusinessCards

With BusinessCards, SCHUNK ensures a consistent external image thanks to centrally managed digital business cards. When on the go, the app also serves as a business card scanner, allowing the captured contact data to be transferred directly to SAP Sales Cloud.
 
 

VisitReport

SCHUNK uses VisitReport at trade shows. Leads and meeting notes are recorded digitally in no time, replacing the need for manual follow-up work. This has become a firmly established standard and is now indispensable.
 
 
 

DataQuality

SCHUNK uses DataQuality to improve the data quality of contacts and new leads in SAP Sales Cloud. Contact and address data from email signatures is automatically transferred to the CRM via collective mailboxes. At the same time, DataQuality serves as middleware between SAP Sales Cloud and Evalanche to eliminate data silos.

Where data silos and a lack of synchronization once existed, snapAddy now serves as middleware, connecting Evalanche (marketing automation) and SAP Sales Cloud (CRM system) at SCHUNK.

DataQuality ensures automatic data synchronization without the need for the systems to be directly linked.

The result: a uniform database and a smooth flow of information between marketing and sales – with snapAddy as the connecting element.

From the first meeting to a solid and forward-looking business relationship.

2021: First contact.

At the SCHUNK customer conference, snapAddy presented the VisitReport product to 120 sales representatives and was immediately convincing.

2022: Introduction of VisitReport national.

VisitReport is being used for the first time at the Automatica trade show in Germany. It has received high levels of user acceptance from the outset.

2023: International use of VisitReport.

SCHUNK uses VisitReport at leading international trade shows in Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy.

2024: Use cases and feasibility test for DataQuality.

After the introduction of VisitReport, SCHUNK looked at potential use cases and the internal feasibility of DataQuality.

2025: VisitReport, DataQuality and BusinessCards in use.

Within three years, SCHUNK successfully introduced all three snapAddy products. Manual follow-up work at trade shows is no longer necessary, and data synchronisation and quality have improved.

Future: Realizing full potential.

In the future, VisitReport will also be used in the field, with Voice AI playing a role as well. Use cases will be exploited and new ideas developed together with snapAddy.

A downward trend that is positive: since SCHUNK started using VisitReport, the capacity required at trade shows has fallen dramatically. Instead of 17 people working 4 hours per day, only 2 people working 1 hour per day are now needed. This has reduced the time required from 68 hours to just 2 hours. Thanks to digital lead capture directly on site, tedious follow-up work and manual data entry are now a thing of the past.

This means that all visitor reports end up in the CRM in a structured and complete form, ready for follow-up.

We also find SCHUNK's use cases very exciting from a technical perspective. Together, we created new integration paths, such as the interface between SAP Sales Cloud and Evalanche, where none existed before. This process taught us a great deal about complex system landscapes and how we can create real added value with snapAddy as middleware.
