Wieland Electric GmbH is a medium-sized, family-owned company in the electrical and electronics industry headquartered in Bamberg, Germany. The company, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2010, is one of the pioneers of electrical connection technology. The internationally oriented family business is the market leader in the field of pluggable installation technology for functional buildings. The Wieland Group is at home on all continents with approx. 2,200 employees.

An efficient tool for lead processing is the be-all and end-all in sales and distribution
Wieland Electric has not yet had a continuous lead management process. Addresses were only entered sporadically and manually in the CRM system. There was no effective lead generation and follow-up. Especially the typing of business card data after trade fairs and customer meetings was very laborious, time-consuming and error-prone.
The CRM consulting company ISC IT&Software Consultants from Nuremberg supports Wieland Electric with the introduction and orientation of the CRM system SugarCRM. Since there is a direct CRM integration from snapADDY to SugarCRM, they advised the project manager in sales service, Lars Ohlsson from Wieland Electric, to test the snapADDY business card scanner.
The result was quickly clear. The functions of the snapADDY grabber were immediately convincing. With the app, which can be easily installed on mobile devices, business cards can be scanned and then transferred directly to the CRM system via an interface, or enriched and then transferred via the snapADDY Grabber. In the snapADDY Grabber it is possible to add information to the extracted data. Contact information from social business networks such as Xing and LinkedIn and the company imprint can be added. The data is then transferred to Outlook or the fields of the CRM system with an automatic duplicate check. Here the developers of snapADDY took over the mapping between the two entities and added two further individual fields.

Successful implementation of the snapADDY sales tool
Due to this successful implementation, which is currently actively used by 160 users from the areas of sales (office and field service), marketing, development and product management at Wieland Electric GmbH, the company decided to use the snapADDY VisitReport for their trade fair appearances.
The Wieland Group is represented at more than 30 trade fairs annually and fills out up to 700 trade fair forms per trade fair. The snapADDY VisitReport is now used to record visit reports and create data (company, contact and trade fair report) in SugarCRM via Samsung tablets.
